Olivia Hoover (she/her) is an artist. Her music began in Michigan, where she is from, and has traveled and grown with her, taking her all across the country (most recently, 7 months living in an RV with her collaborator and partner Cam Varner). Olivia has been singing since she could talk but only picked up guitar and songwriting in 2022. Spring of 2023, she released her first couple of singles, and a full original album in December. Life has taken her down to St. Pete, Florida - where she is hoping to write, jam, record and perform more of her musical theatre-inspired-indie-Midwest-folk-rock. You can follow her on all platforms as missolivia1111, and streaming as Olivia Hoover.

For our Countdown to 2025, Olivia is sharing her song "Going on the Road." Below is the music video. Olivia also shared additional words with us: "This song is very near and dear to me, because it was written as a form of processing. (Most of my songs tbh). I was about to uproot my single-girlie-city-life in Philly, and essentially become an RV wife for a bit to my boyfriend / co-creator, Cam Varner. I was newly in love, and full all of those excited butterfly-y feelings. This was my Carole King piano moment  - a song that will be belted out by folks in piano bars* in 2042 or something. Utilizing virtual  collaboration, Ethan Archer recorded killer bass and vibrant electric guitar back home in Philly, and Cam and I recorded drums, vocals, synth, and piano in our hotel room in emporia Kansas. Cam blew me away with the mix and master on this - working from our RV whenever he could to get this done. Together, we filmed the music video in Montana when we stopped there for a wedding. It’s so simple, but so perfect: it’s a physical representation of what the song was about; and we even got Ethan in it!! The vision for my swirly vocals at the start was a big stadium Olivia Hoover booked out show (manifesting). Lights are low, crowd is hype, and we all walk out to them. Of course the lights come up right when I arrive at the piano to start the show. The song ends in a dancey jam, of course. *Ideally, Tavern in Philly’s Gayborhood* "
