On December 21st, 2012, the world was supposed to end. On December 20th, 2012, a 12-year-old Lee Harrison Daniel was really REALLY nervous about that (but didn’t want any of their friends to know). 12/20/12 is a play about the world ending, but not really. It's about being in middle school and wanting to grow up but not get old and being excited for the future but terrified of what will happen and not really knowing how to talk about any of it.
Lee Harrison Daniel (they/them/theirs) is a Manhattan based theatre-maker who writes queer magical realism and experimental plays that explore all the “in betweens” of young adulthood. Their plays have been produced by Water House Collective, First Kiss
Theatre Company, and The Masked Collective. To keep up with Lee's work, check out their Instagram @leeisthatyoulee.
Hannah Lewis is a sophomore at Marymount Manhattan college, where she’s studying to earn a BA in Theatre with a double concentration in Producing + Management and Directing.
